Girls Night Out!

This past Saturday I celebrated Lisa Weber's bachelorette party here in St. Louis. My friends and I kind of figured we would make this night our "girls night out" as well...since these nights rarely happen anymore - boo!

Lisa Weber, soon-to-be Roesline (also known as "Naughty Girl")

We had a great time! The party started at Ely Walker on the rooftop. Fireworks were going off for Live Off the Levee and lingerie was all over the place (for Lisa of course). It was nice getting to know all of Lisa's friends in a low-key environment. Well, not low-key for long.
Tara and Lisa are two of my favorites!

After having a few drinks on the rooftop, we headed to Lucas Park for some more drinks, dancing and...more drinks. Lisa doesn't drink a lot, so Saturday night was a night I'm sure she won't remember. Good thing we take a lot of pictures!

Come eleven p.m., it's time to actually dance. Off to Pepper Lounge for some Michael Jackson (you know how much I love him) and a dance floor. I forgot how much fun it is to dance like I did in high school. You remember those days? The days when we would go to the 17 and under clubs just to shake it? This was the same - except I was drinking legally. And I have to add, I was challenged to a dance off by some girl wearing a cowboy hat. I totally won ...

What a great weekend! I am so blessed to have all of these girls in my life. And I have to thank Matt. If it weren't for his best friends, I wouldn't know these beautiful ladies. They have come to mean the world to me.

Lisa and Jason's final shower is this Saturday. Since they are heading to Mexico for their honeymoon, it was pretty clear that we needed a theme party - OLE! We'll be hosting a "Mojito's and Burrito's" bash this weekend decked out in full Mexican attire.
Until next time ...

So You Think You Can Dance

I just felt the need to give a quick shout out to Will. I'm so dissapointed that he was kicked off SYTYCD tonight, but he will go far in life with his outstanding technique and beautiful smile! I have to say...he was the only contestant I enjoyed watching with his shirt off.

Good luck, Will!

2008 - The Year of Weddings

2008 has turned out to be a busy year! Five of my best friends from high school and a couple of friends that I have met over the past few years have decided to get hitched - and I couldn't be happier for all of them. It's so strange that the time has come in all of our lives to move on to that next big step...marriage.

Arin Lewen (now Weinberg), my life-long and dearest friend, was married in May and I was thrilled to be a part of her big day! Sometimes it's hard for friends to stay close when hundreds of miles seperate them. But Arin and I have no problem...phew! I'm so happy that after 18 years, Arin and I are as close as ever.

Bridesmaids!

The Weinberg's!

Lisa Schmalz (now Wierzba) was married in June and I just had the best time! Her wedding was gorgeous and I was able to reconnect with some friends I had lost touch with. I guess her wedding is what brought us all back together!

Four down...five to go! I don't know what I will do with myself once wedding season is over. Sadly, I will miss the excitement of an open bar and dance floor. But I'm sure I'll live. All I need is a glass of wine (or 5) and some Michael Jackson (preferably "Beat It"). Then, the world will become my dance floor.

I'm a blogger!

Alright - I never thought I would actually have a blog. Why? Well, I'm not the best writer, I'm not all that funny, and I sure don't have a specific category that this blog will cover. But I've decided to branch out, move away from my comfort zone and give this "blogging" thing a try. Heck! I'm "tweeting" now, too! So much is changing in social media and I want to be along for the ride.

So in the days and months to come, I plan to blog about different experiences in my life. Things that I strive to achieve, memories I long to keep, updates on friends and family and the "going-on's" in my life.

Who knows? This blog may teach me a few things. Maybe I'll become the humorous writer I have always longed to be. Only time will tell.

Until next time ...
